Kala Batiste is a committed and dedicated urban educator with 11 years of experience. She’s served in HISD as an ELAR Teacher, ELAR Department Chair, Teacher Specialist, and Assistant Principal. She has been a part of turnaround work at Lawson Middle School for 6 years and Stevens Elementary School for one school year. Kala Batiste holds a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership.
