Emerson Elementary speech therapy program services students from age 3, to students in Pre-Kindergarten through 5th grade. Speech Therapy services are available in the areas of articulation, language, voice and fluency.Sharon Suttonmay be contacted for information on specific questions regarding language and articulation development.
The service delivery models for speech therapy services may include pull out (students come out of their classroom for speech classes), directed (the speech therapist provides information, consultation and activities that the classroom teacher may use to address the students speech needs in the classroom), intergraded (speech therapy in a variety of learning environments), and guided (a combination of pullout and consultation).

Early Childhood Intervention
Barbara White, the school nurse at Emerson, is the contact person for referrals for services for students not enrolled in the public school setting starting at age 3. Parents may call the school, (713) 917-3630 to schedule a time to complete the referral packet.
