STAAR Testing is approaching fast! We can't wait for our students to show off their knowledge. You as parents can assist by ensuring your child attends school daily. Make sure your child gets a good night of sleep each and every night before a school day. We offer breakfast daily here or if you prefer to do breakfast with your child. Please let your child know that paying attention in school especially at the elementary level is so important to their success! Knowledge is power!!
Each week specific character traits from Character Counts are addressed during morning and afternoon announcements. Students are challenged to be caught exhibiting one of the traits. Students are rewarded for reciting the quote about the trait and/or exhibiting the trait. Lately, Kindness and Effort are being discussed. Students are doing a fine job with them! We look forward to hearing from you when you observe one of these traits in your child's actions at home. We promote Social and Emotional Development in all of our students!
Students are expected to be on time (7:30 a.m.) and at school every day. School hours for students are 7:30 AM to 2:50 PM. Parents are responsible for ensuring consistent attendance in school and modeling the importance of punctuality. Excessive absences and/or chronic tardies harm your child’s ability to learn at the same pace of their peers. Please request a conference with our school support team to discuss any concerns regarding attendance.
Please be reminded that Elmore students are required to wear school uniforms daily.
