Dear Crespo Parents and Community,
It is with great pleasure that I write to introduce myself to you as your principal. I am humbled and honored to lead such an amazing school and school community. We have nothing but positive things about the students, teachers, and parent community. I feel very fortunate to be part of this school and to support the students and families.
I come to you with experience as an educator in urban and suburban settings at the elementary and middle school levels. My experiences have helped me see the social, academic, and behavioral transitions from kindergarten to eighth grade. Most recently, I served as Assistant Principal and Interim Principal at Rucker Elementary School. Previously, I served as Associate Principal at International Leadership of Texas Windmill Lakes K-8 where I was instrumental in making significant contributions to their instructional program. I began my educational career as a Kindergarten Dual Language teacher in McAllen ISD and later transitioned to HISD as a second and third grade bilingual teacher at Lewis and Cornelius Elementary Schools, where I was a lead teacher, mentor of beginning teachers, teacher coach, Teacher of the Year, interim principal, and assistant principal. This year, I was recognized as Assistant Principal of the Year for the Elementary Schools Office 3 Area. I bring to Crespo a commitment to the success of all students, a passion for the development of excellence in teaching and learning and a promise to do my best for and with you every day.
I am very excited to start the 2024- 2025 school year. I look forward to learning more about you and your child/ children as we work to continue providing a positive, engaging, and rigorous learning environment for all students. I will uphold the mission of the school in providing a meaningful learning environment with respect and fairness where students can achieve their highest potential through academics and Fine Arts.
I am looking forward to a phenomenal year, and I am confident that this school year will be educationally profitable for our scholars.
Go Panthers!
Warm Regards,
Principal Gonzalez
