After obtaining her masters degree from Texas Southern University, she transitioned to Cy-Fair ISD as a 5th grade ESL teacher. Tapped to become the Special Education department chair at Sam Houston MSTC, Mrs. Hampton returned to HISD and quickly reorganized that department. Within a year’s time, she became an assistant principal and served in that role for 8 years before she was asked to join the team at Worthing HS. In her latest position as Dean of Instruction at Worthing High School, she was instrumental in attaining the Early College High School designation and ensuring that students were college and career ready and college bound.
