You may be aware that the Houston Independent School District’s Board of Education voted on March 13 to move students and staff from nearby Dodson Elementary School to your campus, starting next school year. We hope you will welcome these fellow students and staff members as they make that transition. This consolidation will increase the resources available to students at both schools.

 

Many students at Dodson are part of a Montessori program, and that program, too, will be moved to your campus. Thank you for your understanding as we work through this change together. Our priority is to build on the strong traditions of both Dodson and Blackshear to create an outstanding campus that   all students and staff will be proud to be a part of.
