Principal's Message

  • Ericka Austin It is indeed an honor to be named principal of High School Ahead Academy, a campus whose students have held a dear place in my heart for several years now. I am excited about the bold, new vision for our program and I will work relentlessly to ensure the success of High School Ahead. The most impactful component of the restructuring plan for HSAA is to infuse this campus with compassion, positive energy, and to create a space that students and staff are proud to call their school!

Goals for the 2019-2020 school year include:

    • Extending our reach by serving more students - and serving them well
    • Growing and retaining effective teachers
    • Meeting state accountability targets
    • Rebranding HSAA to create greater awareness & momentum around our instructional program

Along with Team HSAA, I am prepared to lead the work of wrapping around the social and emotional needs of every student while getting them academically prepared for their transition to High School.  Success for our students is indeed possible and opportunity is here for all scholars deserving of a second chance to get caught up and get back on track.
