• Ashford Elementary has a growing garden and outdoor learning habitat. The garden has various fruits and vegetables growing, and students will harvest them throughout the year. Ashford's garden has produced tomatoes, squash, zucchini, and watermelon in a short time, and our students and teachers love the serene setting of our pond, a tranquil space filled with a variety of fish frogs and turtles. We have outstanding students and families at Ashford who are dedicated to growing academically, emotionally, and socially, and this outdoor learning habitat is one of the unique pieces of Ashford that allows students real-world experiences with science and literacy curriculum. We are always looking to gather donations and love the Ashford community to volunteer to support our new outdoor learning space. If you would like to learn more, please contact Ms. Townsend, Ashford's Outdoor Learning Coordinator.
