My name is Paige Parker and I am so happy to be the School Counselor at Love Elementary School! I was born and raised in Houston and have lived here most of my life. I have an amazing son, two wonderful step-daughters, and a bonus daughter who is like family to us. Our family loves music, road trips around Texas, fishing & crabbing in Galveston, and spending time together whenever we can.

My career has included being a Teacher, an English Learner Specialist, Assistant Principal, International Baccalaureate (IB) Coordinator, Gifted / Talented Coordinator, and an Instructional Coordinator. In each of these roles, children’s well-being and success have always been my passion and I look forward to a great year serving the children and families at Love!

As a Professional School Counselor, I provide a Comprehensive Developmental Guidance Program that includes services for all students in the areas of:

• Guidance Curriculum – I help students develop competence in essential and transferrable life skills. These are the classroom lessons I teach on our virtues and character traits.
• Responsive Services – I provide intervention for immediate personal/social/emotional concerns.
• Individual Planning – I help students plan, monitor, and manage their personal, educational and career goals, and includes supporting the transition to middle school for our 5th graders.
• System Support – I support campus staff, parents, and community to promote the educational, career, personal, and social development of students, as well as the Developmental Guidance Program.
