Welcome to Burbank Elementary School Library!
Mrs. Eilbacher, a longtime reading and writing teacher, is now our Library & Media Specialist! She is dedicated to making sure that all students find their LOVE for reading, have the access to books that enrich their lives and teach valuable lessons, and that learners can have meaningful conversations about books!
Our library has been under a wonderful transition with the help of Mrs. Eilbacher, her family, & friends; not to mention, the many library student aids that volunteer their time to make our library a fun, safe, and clean place to enjoy literature!

The mission of the HISD Department of Library Services is to provide integrated services enabling schools to enhance the quality of instruction and instructional delivery to improve student achievement and information literacy. It is our goal to ensure that all HISD students are prepared to be good digital citizens. For more information, please see Library Services.
Mrs. Eilbacher has been in education for over 13 years, all focused on literacy, so it was only natural for her to transition into the library! She is a native Houstonian, but spent her college years in Norman, Oklahoma, at The University of Oklahoma. She is married with two children. The Eilbachers have 2 dogs: Maggie (the English Bulldog) & Hank (Weimaraner) and 1 cat: George.
