    Dear Burbank Parents,

On behalf of our faculty and staff at Burbank Elementary, I am happy to welcome you to the 2021 -2022 school year. I hope you have had a safe and healthy summer, making memories with families and loved ones! We have been working hard throughout the summer to get ready for another successful school year here at Burbank! Our school year will begin on August 23rd, and we will be 100% In-Person, resuming all learning on campus!  Please check the School News  and Announcements sections of our Website often for important updates and information regarding activities and resources to support a strong year of learning! Below are a few First Day Tips

    Health & Safety Checks
    - All staff, students, and visitors with appointments who arrive to school will have temperatures checked at points of entry. Masks are required on all HISD property, buildings, and buses.

    First Day Drop Off
    - Due to the Pandemic and HISD policies for visitors, parents will drop students off in the front or rear of the building at designated drop off zones helping to ensure everyone in our community remains safe and healthy!

    School Supplies
    - Please only send what your child can carry. School supplies can be brought in throughout the first week!

    First Day Packets
    - Each child will be receiving a First Day Forms packet. We ask parents fill out these forms and return to your child's teacher before the end of the first week of school!

    School T-Shirts and Uniforms
    - Due to clothing supply chain issues in stores, we will be flexible in your ability to have your child in school uniform as we begin this year! New Burbank T-shirts are on sale in the office and dress code guidelines are posted in the School News section of our website.
