My name is Karen Mejia and I am the new Wraparound Resource Specialist for Davila Elementary School. I was born and raised in Southwest Houston. I am a recent University of Houston graduate. I received my master's in social work and my bachelor's degree in public health. I have always been interested in connecting individuals and communities to resources who often times are subject to health disparities. I've had the privilege of working in nonprofits and hospitals, but have ultimately found myself drawn to working in schools. I hope to become an asset to the team and be able to help improve the wellbeing of students to the best of my ability.
