Principal T.J. Cotter has a diverse background in education, having served as the principal of Fondren Middle School and previously as an assistant principal at Woodson PK-8 Leadership Academy and North Forest High School. He began his career as a reading and social studies teacher at HISD’s Gregory-Lincoln Education Center and has played key roles in improving school performance to meet state accountability standards.

Cotter earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Texas Southern University and his Master of Education in Administration and Policy Studies from the University of Houston. He is currently pursuing his Doctor of Education in Professional Leadership and Policy Studies at the University of Houston.
