A little bit about me…

This is my third year of working at Cornelius Elementary and I absolutely love it. I currently teach third grade. I am a proud graduate of University of Houston-Downtown, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology. After graduating, I decided to go into Education and received my certification to teach EC- 6^thgeneral and bilingual education. I’m currently pursuing my Master of Education in counseling from the University of St. Thomas. I continue to take classes and workshops to keep my teaching up to date!  You never stop learning!

        I am very passionate about education because I have witnessed the impact in student success when they expand their knowledge base and accomplish difficult tasks. My philosophy of education focuses on equipping my students with higher-order thinking skills needed not to merely function, but also thrive in the technological twenty-first century. I inspire and create an environment where students are able to take risk, make mistakes and learn from them.
