5th Grade Exhibition

Fifth graders Mason Yang, Price Palmer, Ruofan Liu, and Marco Toscano from Ms. Like's class recently took action and planted a tree in the courtyard of ROE as part of their exhibition project on deforestation. The tree was donated by Glenwood Weber Design. Nice job, boys!!!
Students from Ms. Beery's 5th grade class, along with their mentor, Mrs. Marleen DeLeon, recently visited The Rise School of Houston as part of their exhibition project on Down syndrome. The students had the opportunity to tour the school and interact with some of the students. It was a great way to take action in order to raise awareness about these very special people. 4th Grade IB Students
The Japan-America Society of Houston teamed up with Mrs. de Leon’s 4th grade class to represent Houston’s sister city of Chiba, Japan at the 2014 International Festival Opening Ceremony. The students were dressed in Japanese “happy coats” as they recited a greeting in Japanese on stage at City Hall. The class would like to recognize Ms. Patsy Yoon-Brown at JASH for her support – arigato gozaimasu!

These are 4th graders participating in writing camp in preparation for the writing STAAR.The ROE 1st and 2nd grade Name That Book team competed in the district competition. The team worked hard all year long to read 30 children’s book titles and discuss each book in depth. The team placed 2nd in the district competition, only 1 point behind the winning team. We are so proud of our 12 reading stars that represented ROE!
The ROE students in grades K-5 had an exciting Pep Rally building a common bond of respect in the development of school pride. Special guest for the event were the Percussionists from Booker T. Washington High School. Their performance was simply up beat and energizing!
The first graders participated in their first annual Trashion Show during their IB Unit "Sharing the Planet". The students made clothing items out of recycled items. A great time was had by all!
