    Accelerated Reader Program
    This computer-based program  created by Renaissance Place pairs children and literature with computer software to test comprehension and manages student records as they progress through the year. Parents are encouraged to participate by monitoring their child's progress online through Home Connect and setting goals.      AR books are in any language. Our Spanish readers and English readers can read and take quizzes in their own language.  
     AR Reading Enterprise has thousands of titles. These books can be available at the public library, our school library, your child's classroom library, as well as books you own. Click here to search for AR Book Finder books.

    Name That Book- The Name that Book contest is coordinated by the HISD Library Services Department and serves to acquaint HISD students with classic literature as well contemporary award-winning books representing a variety of genres.
