    MacGregor Elementary is a magnet school for music and fine arts located in Houston's Museum District. Our scholars engage in robust academic programing and exceptional enrichment opportunities. All students in Pre-K through 5th grade participate in music classes which include general music, piano, strings, and band. These programs include a variety of activities such as singing, playing instruments, and exploring different musical genres. Students can participate in group performances and learn about music theory. These activities not only foster creativity but also help develop important skills like teamwork, discipline, poise, self-confidence and listening. By integrating music into the curriculum, we create a vibrant and stimulating environment that encourages students to express themselves and discover their musical talents. 
     
     
    We are excited to announce that Magnet Tours will be held every Thursday at 9:00 AM from October 10th through February 6th. Join us to explore our programs and facilitiy. We look forward to welcoming you!!!

    The Phase 1 window to apply for the 2025-2026 School Year for students in Kindergarten through 12th grade opens December 10, 2024 through February 12, 2025.
