    On behalf of the faculty and staff, I would like to welcome you to Washington High School. We have a history of academic accomplishment coupled with a unique campus atmosphere. We expect our students to push themselves academically, intellectually, and socially in preparation for leadership in an ever-changing global society. We encourage our students to take full advantage of every opportunity to look at the world through informed eyes and broaden their horizons by actively embracing our school culture.

  • WASHINGTON HS CELEBRATES THE PAST AND FUTURE IN NEW BUILDING

    Booker T. Washington High School alumni, community leaders, special guests, and elected officials gathered Thursday to celebrate the school’s 125-year anniversary and newly built engineering magnet school.

  • PTO MEETING DECEMBER 11, 2018, 6:30 P.M.

    All students who attend the meeting with their parents will earn a free dress pass for Friday, December 14, 2018! A pass will be provided the night of the meeting. Any students that are not wearing the pass will be disciplined according.

  • BTW FALL 2018 FINAL EXAM INFORMATION

    Are you ready for your final exams? Our final exams begin on Monday, December 17, 2018, and continue until Thursday, December 20, 2018. Get some rest and make sure you review which exam you will be taking on each specific day! Good Luck!

  • BTW WINTER BREAK MINI-MESTER

    Are you short on a few credits? You have the opportunity to recoup those credits via a two week long minimester held right here at BTW! The mini-mesters begin December 18-20, 1:00P.M.-4:00P.M ., and December 26-28, 9:00A.M.-1:30P.M. Breakfast and lunch will be served, and bus passes provided!

  • ENGINEERING TOUR DATES

    The Washington High School for Engineering Professions will begin touring to interested students and parents on every Thursday at 1:00 p.m.

  • BTW SPONSORS DISTRICT WIDE DRONE COMPETITION

    Calling all Science and CTE Teachers. Sign-up student teams in groups of 3-5. Three Event Competitions at a cost of $50.00 for each event. If your school registers for all 3 events the total fee is discounted. Awards for Elementary, Middle and High School. Entry forms and fees are due by Friday, December 7, 2018!

  • CATCH UP WITH THE GREAT THINGS OCCURRING AT BTW IN THE AFRICAN-AMERICAN NEWSPAPER

    By merging art and the development of new habits in order to create in-depth learning experiences. Our students are learning about The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey via daily reminders, videos, and art activities.
