•  Real Men Read

The Real Men Read program invites male reading mentors to campus several times throughout the school year to read to a classroom. Each student in the 7th grade reading classes receives a copy of the selected book and the reading mentor can pick up the selection from FSKMS in advance. A short syllabus is provided to the mentor to help guide the presentation and discussion. Each session lasts approximately one hour. It is a great opportunity for parents and community members to interact with students and to have a positive impact on overall attitudes toward reading. The program reinforces three fundamental principles: reading is fun, the community cares and a commitment to education can ensure success. if you

Please contact our Librarian Xenia Callier or Instructional Specialist Shawna Clouser if you would like to participate in the program.
