• Dear Port Houston Elementary School Parents and Students:
     
    We regret to inform you that that Port Houston Principal Rachel Martinez has recently announced her decision to resign as principal effective July 14.
     
    Before we begin our search for a new campus leader, we would like to have your input. We encourage you to attend an upcoming community meeting on Monday, July 21, at 5:30 p.m. in the Port Houston school cafeteria. At this meeting, you will have an opportunity to talk to district administrators, ask questions, and express your ideas on the qualities you would like to see in the next principal of Port Houston. We appreciate your continued patience and support during this time and hope to see you at the meeting.

    Estimados padres y estudiantes de la Escuela Primaria Port Houston:
     
    Nos entristece informarle que la directora, Rachel Martínez, anunció recientemente su decisión de renunciar a su cargo, lo que será efectivo a partir del 14 de julio. 
     
    Antes de comenzar la búsqueda de un nuevo líder para la escuela, nos gustaría escuchar sus comentarios y es por eso que lo invitamos para que asista a una reunión comunitaria el lunes, 21 de julio a las 5:30 p. m. en la cafetería de la escuela. En esta ocasión usted podrá conversar con los administradores del distrito, hacer preguntas y expresar sus ideas acerca de las cualidades que le gustaría ver en el próximo director. Le agradecemos su paciencia y apoyo en estos momentos y esperamos verlos en la reunión.
