Ms. Keoshya Dunn

Meet the Principal

Keoshya Dunn began her educational career as an eighth-grade mathematics teacher in Alief ISD in 2007. After seven years of perfecting her craft, she took on a department chair position where she fell in love with growing and developing teachers.  In 2017, she joined team HISD as a Math Teacher Specialist at Lawson Middle School.  In one school year, Ms. Dunn and the administrative team moved an IR 3 campus to Met Standard.  In just two short years as a Math Teacher Specialist, her work ethic and ability to grow teachers and get results opened the door for her to continue her leadership journey at Lawson Middle School as the Dean of Instruction. During her time as Dean of Instruction, she was named the 2019-2020 A180 1st Year Assistant Principal of the Year.

Ms. Dunn earned her bachelor’s degree from Texas Southern University and her Executive Master’s degree in Business Administration from Colorado Technical University. She is no stranger to hard work and believes that every child has the ability to excel and achieve greatness with the right trailblazers leading the way.
