Piney Point Panthers ROARED at the HISD A+ Academics UIL December Invitational Meet! This contest, held December 5^th at Pershing Middle School, was the largest ever with more than 30 schools and over 800 students participating! It was an incredible event and we are very grateful to the HISD Elementary UIL department for their hard work in affording these opportunities to our students, the many volunteer judges who gave their Saturday to let our Panthers shine, and to Pershing Middle School, who were marvelous hosts! 

Our team of 30 2^nd-5^th grade students competed in 29 different events and brought home twenty individual medals – including two for 1^st place!. We also earned the 1^st place team award for 4^th grade Art, and two 2^nd place awards for 3^rd grade Music Memory and 4^th grade Music Memory. We are Panther Proud of our students and their very impressive showing!
