I am humbled and thrilled to embark on an incredible new chapter as a high school counselor at HISTORIC Kashmere High School. With a genuine passion for guiding and supporting young minds, I am eager to join this esteemed institution and contribute to the growth and success of our students. As a second-year counselor, with my first year at the elementary level, I bring with me a fresh perspective, a deep commitment to education, and a fervent belief in the transformative power of mentorship. My journey into counseling was born from a desire to make a positive impact on young lives, and I am excited to be a part of a dynamic team that shares this vision.
Understanding high school's pivotal role in shaping one's future, I am dedicated to creating an inclusive, supportive, and nurturing environment where every student feels empowered to thrive. By actively listening and understanding their unique stories, I aim to co-create personalized strategies that nurture academic success, personal growth, and emotional well-being. I believe that a strong counselor-student partnership, built on trust and empathy, can unlock untapped potential and help students overcome obstacles with confidence.
My commitment to continuous learning means that I am always exploring innovative techniques and staying abreast of the latest trends in counseling. I am eager to collaborate with our talented faculty, staff and fellow counselors to strengthen our support systems and enhance the overall student experience. I am honored to be a part of the Kashmere family and look forward to making a positive difference in the lives of our exceptional students. My Background: I hold a master's degree in School Counseling from Prairie View A&M University, where I gained a solid foundation in understanding human behavior, development, and psychology. This background equips me to provide empathetic and effective guidance to our diverse student body.
Counseling Approach: Every student is unique, and I believe in tailoring my approach to meet individual needs. My counseling style is characterized by warmth, active listening, and a non-judgmental attitude. I strive to create a safe and confidential space where students can openly discuss their concerns, whether academic, personal, or social. Together, we'll work on identifying strengths, setting goals, and developing coping strategies.
Services I Offer
- Individual Counseling: I provide one-on-one sessions for students to explore their feelings, manage stress, and work through personal challenges.

I collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student development. I also organize seminars, workshops, and events to provide guidance to parents and guardians.
