Alejandro Lopez is the principal of Navarro Middle School. His previous work experience includes serving as Principal of Clemente Martinez Elementary School. During the past four years under Principal Lopez's leadership at Clemente Martinez Elementary School, the campus escalated three letter grades in overall achievement from an F rating or improvement required to a B plus rating per T.E.A. in the 2022-2023 school years. His previous work experience includes serving as Assistant Principal at Yolanda Black Navarro Middle School, where he expanded the math program to include high school credit courses in Algebra and Geometry, in addition to having double-digit gains in math across 6th, 7th, and 8th grade.
Additionally, he was an administrator at Billy Reagan K-8 Educational Center, where he assisted in leading the campus to meet all four domains in the T.E.A. accountability system for the 2016- 2017 school year. The middle school department he oversaw at Billy Reagan K-8 additionally outperformed the elementary side of the school for the first time in history in 2016-2017. He received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston-Downtown, and a master’s in educational administration from Lamar University.
