Dr. Queinnise Miller
Dr. Queinnise Miller has served over 18 years as an educator and continues to have a passion for teaching, learning and leading. Her motivation for this work is ensuring that all scholars receive a world class educational experience despite cultural or economic backgrounds. Dr. Miller has served as an elementary and high school teacher, department chair, and educational trainer in various districts. She has also served as a middle school assistant principal. Her background is in English as a Second Language, Bilingual Education, and Foreign Language Instruction. Dr. Miller joined the HISD team six years ago and served as a senior manager for Leadership Development and director in the Office of School Leadership. Most recently Dr. Miller served 3 years as the proud principal at K. Smith Elementary School. While serving at Smith, Dr. Miller was responsible in the campus embracing new and exciting culture, expansion of its fine arts program, becoming a dual language campus, and accomplishing academic growth campus wide. K. Smith also became a family friendly school during her tenure. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Spanish from University of Houston, a master’s in Educational Administration and Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Leadership from Prairie View A&M. Dr. Miller is also a devoted wife of 16 years and mother of two!
