Congratulations on being offered placement into The Rice School’s STEM Magnet Program!

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT YOUR SEAT OFFER HAS AN EXPIRATION DATE!!!

Please check the parent dashboard and accept your offered seat by this date.

STEP 1:

All parents must go to the parent dashboard and complete the following list:

1. Sign the STEM Magnet Entrance Agreement.
2. Upload current proof of address in HISD.
3. Accept the seat. 

The seat acceptance process is not complete until all three items above have been completed online. 

STEP 2:

Complete and submit required documents.

1. Go to: https://www.houstonisd.org/RiceMagnetForms
2. Download, print and fill out the Enrollment Packet
3. Email completed forms to ricemagnetforms@gmail.com.  Complete ALL documents in their entirety, including signatures.

• Magnet Entrance Agreement requires the signature of both the parent and student for grades 6^th, 7^th, and 8^th.
• Reminder: You must complete STEP 1 - upload your proof of residence, sign the entrance agreement, and accept your offer online before we can complete the enrollment process.

STEP 3:

Face-to-face enrollment will be:

• Wednesday, May 8^th from 9:00 am to 11:00 am for kindergarten
• Thursday, May 9^th from 9:00 am to 11:00 am for 1^st-8^th Grade

For ALL students, the following documents will be collected during the face-to-face enrollment:

• Copy of Driver’s license for any parent or guardian who will be listed on enrollment forms
• Copy of student’s Birth Certificate
• Copy of student’s updated immunization record
• Copy of student’s Social Security card  
• Copy of student’s most recent report card (if applicable)
• Proof of address (Must be most current utility bill showing parent’s name and service address -water/electricity/gas). 
• Enrollment Packet (link to enrollment documents attached)
• * Additional Documents (GT Identification Letter, 504/Special Education documentation)
