Dr. Blandon-Ohaka is an experienced administrator having served grades 5-12 in both comprehensive and specialty settings for 17 years before being named principal of Atherton Elementary.  She began her career as a middle school English language arts teacher in Aldine ISD where she also served as an intermediate and middle school assistant principal.  Most recently Dr. Blandon-Ohaka served as an assistant principal at Kinder HSPVA and a principal apprentice.  

Dr. Blandon-Ohaka earned her bachelor’s degree in English from Georgia State University and completed her graduate work at Texas Southern University.

She is excited to leverage her experience in various settings to ensure positive educational outcomes for the Atherton community.
