Cosmetology

  • Program Description:

The Cosmetology program provides students opportunities to learn processes and techniques required to operate their own hair, nail, and/or facial salons.  Arguably our most rigorous program, dedicated students can earn 1000 hours of required classroom and laboratory time to sit for the written and practical portions of the Texas Cosmetology Operators License exam.  Students in this program study chemistry, math, and anatomy/physiology while learning to cut and color hair, massage the scalp and face, shape eyelashes, and perform manicures and pedicures.  Additionally, they learn how to open and own their own businesses.
