Greetings and welcome to Kate Bell Elementary!
We are a Physical Development Magnet school, proudly serving South West Houston. Our faculty and staff are committed to providing the best educational and social experiences for our students EVERYDAY. It is our goal to provide you with the resources and information you need in order for you to be able to support learning at home. Each day our #1 priority at Kate Bell is to provide a safe and fun learning environment while focusing on our mission statement: "Through collaboration, mutual respect, and rigorous instruction, Kate Bell Elementary educates all PK-5th grade students for college, career, and life." I began my career in education as a kindergarten teacher at Kashmere Gardens Elementary in 2000. I have taught kinder, first, second, fifth, and had the honor to open a new arrival center for sixth, seventh and eighth graders new to the USA. I designed instruction and trained teachers as an Instructional Coach for Math & Science. I was an Assistant principal for seven years and was recognized as the district's August 2020 Excellence in Leadership recipient for my turnaround work and leadership. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Houston - Downtown. I hold a Masters degree in Education Administration from Prairie View A&M University as well as a Masters degree in Curriculum & Instruction also from Prairie View A & M University.

I encourage you to join the CougarPRIDE as we LEAP to success!
