As a 15-year educator, Rim Mohamed has served in many roles. Before being selected as principal of Dogan Elementary, she served as assistant principal at Seguin Elementary where she established an extensive community partnership with Brighter Bites to assist with community needs. Mohamed received her bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics with Secondary Education from University of Houston, her Master Math Teacher Certification from Rice University, and her master’s degree in School Administration from University of St. Thomas.
The 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) serves as a supplementary program to enhance local reform efforts. The program assists students in meeting academic standards in core subjects (math, reading, science, social studies) by providing out-of-school time services to students and their families through community learning centers that offer an array of enrichment activities to complement regular academic programs.
