Hello Parker Family

I want to officially welcome you back to the new school year, with me as principal of Parker Elementary! I am extremely humble and excited about my new role, in leading an amazing community of teachers and learners, where our legacy is to place scholars FIRST before all!

For the past 12 years, I’ve served Team HISD as a classroom teacher, curriculum writer, Teacher Development Specialist, and most recently Assistant Principal. Although I’ve taught across all content areas, Language Arts and Science are my absolute favorite! Both avenues provide an outlet to my personality and stimulate my interest as a life-long learner.

I am originally from New Orleans Louisiana, the fourth youngest sibling of a family of five, and I have one godson that I’ve helped to raise as my own since he was a little lad. I love to cook, enjoy live jazz and poetry sessions, travel (my most recent trip was to Spain this summer), and tour local and national auto shows in my spare time.

I truly look forward to serving our scholars and community, while fueling the legacy of Parker Elementary being the school of CHOICE in HISD! Again Welcome!
