The National Wildlife Federation, as part of their Eco Schools initiative, has once again awarded James Berry Elementary School a $500 grant to be used for a variety of on-going environmental projects.  This is the third time, in as many years, that Berry has received the grant.  Through the continued support of many on campus, Berry has been fortunate to foster amazing relationships with a variety of outside organizations that lend us credibility and legitimizes our green mission.  Currently plans are in place to put the grant funds to good use, not only to strengthen Berry’s commitment to environmental studies, but to solidify our campus as one of the most innovative throughout the entire Houston Independent School District.
