UIL is a program started by the University of Texas in 1910. It provides opportunitites for students from different schools, districts, and cities to participate in academic competitions. These competitions include events ranging from Chess to Creative Writing to Modern Oratory. UIL offers events for all grade levels, K-12. A+ Academics is the UIL program of academic competitions for elementary students.
