October 14, 2023 Results
Posted by Mark Niles on 10/20/2023 9:30:00 AMOn October 14, 2023, the first A+ UIL Academics event of the 2023-2024 school year was held at Carnegie Vanguard High School. We'd like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Principal Moss and the entire Carnegie staff for their generous hospitality in hosting this remarkable event.
With the participation of 13 elementary schools, boasting a total of 274 students, and 11 middle schools with 250 students, we had a grand total of 524 enthusiastic and talented students in attendance.
However, this event was not just about academic competition. It was also a day when the cosmos treated us to a splendid Solar Eclipse. The celestial spectacle occurred during lunchtime, allowing students, parents, and school staff to witness this awe-inspiring event using eclipse glasses, making it an unforgettable and educational experience for everyone present.
As we look ahead, we are thrilled to announce that our next tournament is scheduled for December 2, and once again, it will be hosted at Carnegie Vanguard High School.
We would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to all the parents, coaches, students, judges, and staff who worked tirelessly to make this event a success. Their dedication and support were instrumental in ensuring the event's success.
