• Recipe for Success:

Berry Elementary has been awarded a grant from Recipe for Success. Berry’s second graders are working together to establish the Seed-to-Plate nutrition education. The children will be working in their school garden planting vegetables and fruits. With this, they will learn how to properly maintain a garden, admire the garden as a habitat for certain animals and bugs, be informed of organic growing and how to harvest their own crops. Alongside with gardening, Recipe for Success teaches the students about healthy eating which allows them to experience what it is like to be a cook. The children get to participate in cooking classes where they will use fresh crops harvested from their own garden. Bon Appetit!
