The Art Program 

The Art Program at Felix Cook Elementary Fine Arts Magnet is designed to be both rigorous and cross-curricular. Each assignment, each project forces a student to combine knowledge obtained in core subjects with art fundamentals and use it to create something new and original. In art class, students learn science, history, writing and math. They also learn about various cultures and civilizations ranging from Egyptian, European and Aztec to Greek, African and Roman art. Students are required to create original works in the following media: Ceramics, Painting, Drawing, Mixed Media and Sculpture; these works are annually exhibited in galleries and exterior venues.
