We have an award-winning School Wide Fine Arts Magnet Program. Every child enrolled at Felix Cook Elementary Pre-K through Fifth Grade is involved in the Fine Arts Magnet Program. Students from Pre-K through Second Grade rotate throughout all Magnet classes receiving general fine arts appreciation. Students from Third Grade through Fifth Grade can audition and join a specialized Fine Arts area. We offer specialized intense instruction for 3rd – 5th graders in Advanced Dance, Lego-Robotics, Theatre Arts, School Newspaper/Journalism and Advanced Art. We are the only elementary school in HISD to hold the most art exhibitions at professional galleries or exterior venues since 2010. We teach integrated Art with a STEAM approach.
