Dr. Mohamed Gharbi was born in Tunisia (North Africa). He received his bachelor’s degree with honors in Mechanics from Tunisia Polytechnic School in 2007. He obtained his Master of Science in Computational Mechanics from Tunisia Polytechnic School in 2008.  He received his doctorate degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Houston in 2011. He worked as a mechanical engineer for many years before becoming an educator. In addition to teaching math at HISD, Dr. Gharbi taught at the University of Houston (College of Technology) and the Houston Community College (HCC).
