The Magnet program at Attucks offers exploratory, discovery, and enrichment studies in all core subject areas.
The curriculum modules (Springboard, etc.) incorporate interdisciplinary activities in the area of math, science, social studies and language arts. Our program is structured as a "School within a School" that offers rigorous activities in mathematics and science for eligible students and where high-school graduation credits are acquired. The use of multimedia technology is incorporated throughout all course work. Modern technology is used to enhance the curriculum in both the classroom and state-of-the-art computer lab facilities. Additionally, all core staff members are required to be certified by the College Board to helm Pre-AP and Advanced Placement classes, ensuring the BEST delivery of instruction and learning facilitation for Attucks students.Performance Requirements- Maintain 80% standard or better on all class work
- Meet Stanford 10 requirements
- Meet State of Texas Assessments of Academnic Readiness (STAAR) minimum requirements
- Maintain Satisfactory conduct and Attendance (95%)
