Aspiring Principals

    • The Principal Pipeline Pool

      This pool is for internal and external candidates who are ready to take on leadership as an HISD principal.  Opportunities include all school levels - elementary, middle, and high school. Once a principal candidate is placed into the principal pool, they become eligible for further review by the Schools Office and placement into a specific campus-based principal position.

      • Principal Requirements
        • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university
        • Valid Texas Principal standard certification
        • Three (3) years of Assistant Principal or Dean experience
        • Three (3) years of exemplary teaching experience
