    I started my teaching career at Parker six years ago as a student teacher with Vicki Pasternak.   I developed a special rapport with Vicki, Sherry Sandler, the faculty, and the students at Parker.  Vicki generously agreed to allow me to student teach with her.  Cappy Selig, Vicki and Sherry saw some promise in me.  I have been fortunate to teach 4th grade at Parker, in room 22, ever since.  I try to impart to my students the importance of education.  I am an enthusiastic advocate for reading and writing, but I encourage my students to work hard and excel in all subjects.  I hope to continue learning from my students and colleagues.  I look forward to helping students do their best in school and instill a desire to continue to achieve in their education.

     
     

     

     

  • Welcome to 4th grade!

    Welcome to Mrs. Allen’s fourth grade class!  I hope you all have had a wonderful summer!  I know all my students are excited to put their new school supplies to use.  We are going to have a fun year.  In my class we study Reading, Writing, and Social Studies. We’ll be reading different interesting books, writing to grab our readers’ attention with a lot of engaging detail, and studying how Texas became the amazing state it is today!  Don’t forget to come to the Meet and Greet here at Parker in the main hallway on Tuesday, August 18th, from 4:00 to 6:00.  We will get to meet and talk a bit about what’s coming up and how students will get home.  Students in my homeroom will be able to meet their Math and Science teacher, Ms. Wethington too!
