Welcome to the Counseling/Social Emotional Learning (SEL) page for Sutton Elementary School!
The Sutton Elementary Counseling/Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Staff focuses on addressing the non-academic needs of our students and families. This includes their social, emotional, and physical needs. We do this by providing counseling, teaching effective problem solving, impulse control, and emotional management.
We address the physical needs of our students and families by connecting them to community resources that provide help with things such as: food, clothing, rent, utility assistance, newcomer assistance, and other needs.
Our goal is to help students to improve their academic performance, decrease bullying/cyberbullying, to build character in our students.
