Eddie Treviño and Victor Rojas: March 2017 Employees of the Month

The celebration is twice as nice this month, as HISD recognizes police officers Eddie Trevino and Victor Rojas as the district’s employees of the month for March 2017.

“Over the holidays, they were able to help a family in need and provide them with a fantastic holiday they wouldn’t have had otherwise,” said HISD Chief of Police Robert Mock.

“Our shift adopted a needy family, and we all contributed funds to help this family out,” Trevino said. “We took the family to Walmart and paid for a shopping spree for all of them.”

“Most of us in the whole department are pretty giving people,” Rojas said. “I wanted to do something just because I am able to.”

“They put a lot of time and effort into getting this project going and helping this family,” said HISD Police lieutenant Richard Barrera. “I am happy that we are able to give them the recognition they deserve.”

“They are fine examples of what our officers are like, and I appreciate their service,” said Chief Mock.

If you know someone who deserves recognition for a job well done, consider nominating him or her for HISD’s next Employee of the Month. Anyone serving in a non-teaching capacity (custodians, plant operators, administrative assistants, bus drivers, etc.) is eligible. Click here for more information.
