Rita Redix: February 2018 Employee of the Month

Campus favorite and teacher assistant Rita Redix at Gallegos Elementary is Employee of the Month for February.

With prior experience working with special needs children, it’s hard not to miss Redix around campus championing her colleagues and students. For the last five years, she has gone over and beyond her duties as a teacher assistant, which includes pioneering the campus dance team. 

“My goal is to be present for the children,” Redix said. “It’s nice to be recognized, but it’s also important for me to be here for the children.”

“Rita is the type of employee that’s always doing something for another employee,” Principal Gonzales added. “I’m not sure what we’d do without her at Gallegos. She’s the perfect example of a team player.”
