Courtney Williams: June 2019 Employee of the Month

For the month of June, HISD recognizes Teacher Assistant Courtney Williams from Meyerland Performing and Visual Arts (MSPVA) Middle School as the district's Employee of the Month. 

"Williams is as devoted to staff as she is to her students," Principal Auden Sarabia said. "She is always willing to help any teacher in the SPED department when needed, and she stays late to help the department chair develop schedules."

A valuable member of the MSPVA family, Williams voluntarily takes responsibility for far more than her assigned duties. For example, she escorts her students on the autism spectrum to theater, takes the students to every karate practice and competition, and even washes and steams their uniforms at home on her own time. 

Congratulations again to Courtney Williams for her outstanding efforts in supporting the Special Education Department at MSPVA.
