    Frequently Asked Questions

     

    • If you are a new Rice parent and transportation was requested on your application, that information has been submitted to the HISD transportation dept.   The notification and assignment of route will come from the HISD transportation dept directly to the parent.
    • If your child has never been assigned transportation and you did not request transportation on your 2024-2025 magnet application, please email your new request for transportation to debbie.nettles@houstonisd.org 

     

     Change of Route:

     

    • If the parents feel that the stop is unsafe please get in contact with the HISD safety department so the can look at the stop so they can mark it as unsafe then we can change it.
    • For the ones that say the stop needs to be closer to their home, I wish we could pick up every student from home but we can't.  The stops are centralized so all students can be picked up in a timely manner.
    • Please submit all requests through the Let’s Talk system.
