How are assessments conducted?
All assessments are administered during pre-established testing schedules/timelines by specially trained HoustonISD staff at the student’s school. Students who are applying for the entering Kindergarten G/T Neighborhood Program or Vanguard Magnet program are assessed at centralized locations.

Which assessments are administered for G/T identification?
- All students grades K-12 are given two assesments: CogAT (Cognitive Abilities Test, non-verbal), and the Iowa/Logramos achievement test.
