Teaching and early childhood is my passion! I am an avid traveler and have taught in China, Kazakhstan, India, and Thailand. Before joining the staff at St. George Place, I spent two wonderful years in northeast Thailand working with WorldTeach, a nonprofit organization that sends teachers to developing countries. In 2016, Texas IB Schools e-newsletter spotlighted, my continued work abroad as a Fund for Teacher Fellow. Through this program I was afforded the opportunity to attend the fifth annual "Teaching for Peace: An Indian Immersion Experience in Practical Nonviolence" in New Delhi to take a proactive stance with preK students and create a culture of nonviolence on campus. I am so excited about sharing my experiences with The School at St. George Place Community.
"I teach because I believe that all children can excel in a safe, nurturing environment. Each and every child adds value to our classroom and school community, and it is my job to help them begin their school years with a love of learning and a sense of belonging. I teach because I love the elements of self-discovery, fun, and development that take place during the Pre-K school year."
