GSA - Gay Straight Alliance
What is the purpose of our club?
The Waltrip GSA serves as a source of support and provides safety and confidentiality to students who are struggling with their identity or self-identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, or questioning, or those who are experiencing harassment at school because of their actual or perceived sexual orientation or gender identity or expression.
When/Where do we meet?
Weekly on Tuesday afternoons at 3:30 in room 3106
Things we do in our club
We educate ourselves and the broader school community about sexual orientation and gender identity issues. This year we plan to organize LGBTQ awareness events and offer an educational workshop for faculty members, which will focus on teaching school staff how to be better allies for LGBTQ students.
