In order to develop the capacity for critical thinking in our students, the Wharton K-8 Dual Language Magnet Program focuses on teaching students how to solve problems, work in diverse teams, apply technology effectively and think creatively.  

Wharton seeks to create a collaborative environment with a foundation of dual language academic excellence that is dedicated to promoting high levels of language proficiency in both Spanish and English, student bi-literacy – reading and writing at grade level in both languages, achievement at or above grade level in content areas and strong multicultural competencies.
